"Dear Melinda,
A warm (in every sense) hullo from Singapore. I had written you once nearly 10 years ago, and I can still remember the love and empathy you readily extended to me in your reply (although it's been too long for you to recall that email, I think!).
"I am writing to you again because I just picked up and re-read your 'Keep Coming, Holy Spirit' and was moved by the things you wrote in it - although I had read it before, the words still resonate deeply with me. I am also writing to you again because I just wanted to find out how is the move of the Spirit in RCC right now?
"One reason for this sudden gesture is that I, too, bear a deep love of the Spirit's renewing ministry, and I couldn't help but wonder what wonderful things the Spirit has been doing in RCC since the writing of the book - such stories always move, enrich, provoke and deepen me; another reason is that I have become involved in a church plant here in Singapore which purpose is to be a church that accommodates the move of the Spirit, in its leadership structures, ministry mechanisms, and theology, and the ride has been eye-opening, sobering but ultimately exhilarating. 'Grateful' is the only word I can use to describe what I feel towards the work that God has privileged me to participate in.
"I hope my email finds you and Bill (and the entire family) well, and hope to hear from you shortly!
